HAVP is not currently under active development.
I personally don't have much time and since things are running fine and stable, not that much interest also. Any bugs will be looked in promptly and ClamAV versions will be monitored for any needed changes.
New developers are welcome and I will be happy to assist getting started.
Some current bugs and ideas:
- Test virus patterns for errors before loading in use (so HAVP doesn't die) - Support ICAP with Squid3 - Maybe use a threaded/multiplexed main process (would enable easy statistics, cache, connection limiting etc) Have a pool of scanners, handle traffic in separate processes - so listening to a radio doesn't reserve one "scanner process" - General cleaning up and organization of code
Edit 1/2012: I haven't been running HAVP myself for some time now, so I can't even promise "prompt support" for any ClamAV changes or whatnot. But I'll keep forum alive and keep one eye on things.
