Post subject:  Filesystem not supporting mandatory locks!

Using Debian Testing and installed 0.79 debian havp package.

I have /dev/sdb formated to ext3 and mounted via

mount /dev/sdb /var/tmp/havp -o mand
chown havp /var/tmp/havp so that the user (havp) in havp.conf has read and write access to /var/tmp/havp

However, when starting HAVP, there is an error "Filesystem not supporting mandatory locks!"

Please advise. Thanks !

Are you sure /var/tmp/havp is used?

# havp -s | grep SCANTEMPFILE

Cheers,
Henrik

Thanks for the tip, hege. You're right, the path used by the debian package is different from /var/tmp/havp.

Keep up the good work please !

Thanks!
