Is it possible to chroot HAVP?

I am able to chroot the other daemons in my proxy chain - squid and Bfilter.

Does the fact that I have a separate partition/mount point for the havp temp dir (to enable mandatory locking) pose a problem?

Haven't tried, but I guess it could work if you chroot it under the mandatory partition. Let us know if you get some results.

Though it needs to be done with external helper, HAVP itself doesn't chroot.

Thanks for the tip. I will give it a go and let you know how it turns out.

Any ideas on how to actually test the security of havp once it is in a chroot jail?

Well I'm not sure what is there to test, except reading the source code and trying find some holes..
