The package would not set up properly in Edgy, so I have tried to remove and reinstall it as it has requested. It does not work. Could you please let me know how to remove it from my system. I had tried to use a newer release of HAVP from Debian to try and fix it but it did not work either. Here is my terminal output: clint@themoffatts:~$ sudo dpkg -P havp dpkg: error processing havp (--purge): Package is in a very bad inconsistent state - you should reinstall it before attempting a removal. chown: cannot access `/var/run/havp': No such file or directory Well, "sudo mkdir /var/run/havp" before that might help. I would do this too before trying to install the new package.. (sudo) echo "exit 0" > /etc/init.d/havp Cheers, Henrik |
