Hi guys ...

thank you for the great work.

I start to use havp and it seems to be a very great HTTP-AV filtering software.

I've only a little problem, that come with IE.

The problem occur it the both way, if i use the squid before havp, either if i set explorer to go directly to havp proxy.

The problem don't exists if I surf with mozilla Firefox.

When i browse certain site, i get file download error (like from my webmail, if i use explorer i get broken download, if i use firefox i get fully functional download).
Another site is this : http://www.webifel.it/ici/ici2000.asp

If i try to open this url, i get an "Proxy-Connection: close". This error pop-up if i use explorer (ver 7 or ver 6), but not if i use mozilla firefox.

Can anybody help me to solve this.

By the way ..... there are nothing either in the access.log / havp.log that can help me to debug (Can we have more and more debug ???)

TIA

The problem seems to be related to my workplace installation, becouse @home all seems to work without any problem.

But I need to know what's going wrong in my havp workplace configuration ......... I've tested , with direct connection to the havp provy 4 citrix server, 1 laptop and many other machine....... all the platform i've tested present the same problem ........

When i try to download an attach (in the case i wrte below is from my webmail, but the error is present on all kind of download from the web) , havp send a file of 220kb (not the same every download ... sometimes 220, other times 217kb) .... but the original file size was 330kb.

But if i use mozilla, the problem not occour.

Please help me to know the what's generating the problem.

TIA

Hi, are you using latest havp?

That .it site is not working at all right now, so I cannot test..

Do you have LOGLEVEL 1 set?

Cheers,
Henrik

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

I use both (@work and @home) the same versione : 0.83

Ok, the site today is not workin and seems to be down the 12th and the 13th dec, but after the yesterday night test at my home (webmail download test), i can think that the problem is isolated to my @work installation.

But i really don't know how to solve it.

The log level is set to 1 according to the config file for obtaining more information, but don't say nothin (both the access.log and the havp.log).

TIA

When I click to download the "wrong file" , @home I can see the correct file-size on the download dialogbox of explorer, viceversa @work I didn't see the file-size.

Hope tis help ....

Bye
