Another minor issue thats been brought to my attention is with certain sites not working through HAVP. One such site is https://www.buxfer.com/blog/ Using IE pointing at the HAVP proxie it returns an Invalid Request page off the proxie it renders fine. Oddly enough the same page on Firefox through HAVP returns fine. I dug a bit deeper and found in the havp.log these entries 03/01/2007 15:09:28 (172.18.4.221) Invalid request from browser |

I assume you have compiled SSL tunneling support in HAVP? What IE version specifically? |

Assume I haven't (since I just did the basic ./configure make make install) how do I compile it with SSL? IE7 specifically. |

Why do you even want to have SSL proxy support? So clients cannot directly connect to outside world? Better solution would be to have Squid as generic proxy. From configure --help: --enable-ssl-tunnel Enable SSL proxying (not scanned, only forwarded!) |

Not sure why I would or would not want SSL Proxy support.. I Just want a proxy that scans for virus on web traffic to stop it before it enters the network. The sites the company scrapes cover a wide variety and quite a few have some not so nice content. This paticular blog has SSL for some odd reason. And as for enabling or disabling things on configure, I just read the install file and do a basic install unless I fully understand added features. But anyways I enabled the ssl_tunnel and the site works through proxy. I assume this means that all ssl sites won't be scanned for virus but this is a fair trade off.. few sites are SSL and those that are ussually are more reputable. Thanks for the help. |

I have noticed that NOD32 has produced these errors when I have it installed on desktops behind the proxy. |
