I guess you are using tmpfs. It's an unresolved bug.

I do really use tmpfs! mount -t tmpfs -o size=10M,mand tmpfs /tmp/havp
but the fact is that is has been working for two or more weeks!many people use tmpfs as filesystem.quiet strange,isn`t it?

I don't know if it's an kernel bug or some limitation. All I can say is that I use Solaris, and it's tmpfs works much better, no problems ever.
