Post subject:  which bases scanners use

Hey, sorry if the question is a bit "stupid" but I could not find the answer in documentation.
Can you tell me which antivirus bases are used by _not_ clam scanners? Do they use Clamav anti-virus bases or their own?

thanks

I'm not sure if I got your question.. but if it's the silly one, yes every Anti-Virus vendor has their own signatures. ;)

o, i see :)
does that mean that i dont need to compile HAVP with Clamav support if i want to use another scanner?

i always get the same error - HAVP not compiled with ClamAV support...

Support for all scanners is compiled in by default.

Only exception is ClamAV libclamav.so support (CLAMLIBSCANNER) and Trend Micro library support, they are checked if they exist when compiling.

So if you get ClamAV not supported, then "clamav-config" binary was not found in PATH when compiling. Configure-script clearly gives an error if this happens. Clamd-daemon (CLAMDSCANNER) support is enabled in any case.
