Hi all,

need some help here, i intalled HAVP with my squid proxy, when i used squid proxy port (81) for above 3 messengers, no problem at all, BUT if i used HAVP port (8080), all my messengers unable to connect. what should i set in my havp.config or anythings i need to put into my writelist to allow those messengers?

Atleast Skype uses CONNECT method when using proxy. That means you have to compile with --enable-ssl-tunnel.

Not sure about the others, maybe it helps too.

You could put the Squid in front too, and bypass ssl from havp completely.

hi,

what you mean "put the Squid in front" ?

i viewed the detail of havp's access.log, the log didnt record down the record of access messenger.

how to passby havp and use proxy port? normally Windows Live Messenger will use the proxy setting from IE.

Go to messenger options and change it. This is the easiest way to fix any software, like Skype too. You can change port 81 there.
