Post subject: | FreeBSD 6.2 how to enable mandatory Locking? |
I just did a clean install of FreeBSD 6.2. I used the "ports" to install squid & havp. The version of HAVP is 0.86. Everything is working perfectly. but I got to questions: 1) when I start HAVP I get the following message: "Mandatory locking disabled! KEEPBACK settings not used!" How can I enable mandatory locking on FreeBSD? Can I use KEEPBACK without the need of mandatory locking? 2) How can I speed up HAVP that it will be almost so fast as squid without HAVP? |

You have to live with the "penalty" of not having keepback (more delay for browser on bigger files). Quote: 2) How can I speed up HAVP that it will be almost so fast as squid without HAVP?
You can try SCANIMAGES false. Other than that, you need faster hardware and/or scanner software. |
