Post subject:  FreeBSD 6.2 how to enable mandatory Locking?

I just did a clean install of FreeBSD 6.2. I used the "ports" to install squid & havp. The version of HAVP is 0.86. Everything is working perfectly. but I got to questions:
1) when I start HAVP I get the following message:
"Mandatory locking disabled! KEEPBACK settings not used!"

How can I enable mandatory locking on FreeBSD? Can I use KEEPBACK without the need of mandatory locking?

2) How can I speed up HAVP that it will be almost so fast as squid without HAVP?

You have to live with the "penalty" of not having keepback (more delay for browser on bigger files).

You can try SCANIMAGES false. Other than that, you need faster hardware and/or scanner software.
