Hi, Can I ask why FTP is only supported with the PARENTPROXY option, as opposed to using HAVP before the caching proxy? It seems a bad idea to cache virus files! thanks Stephen |

Because it would require coding FTP protocol support to HAVP. I don't have time, maybe someone has. Parent proxy (atleast Squid) already has the support so.. What's the problem with caching virus files? HAVP detects them if the caching server is parent. You are free to choose if you want it before or after, both have pros/cons. Cheers, Henrik |
