Hello, folks!

I have FreeBSD 6.2 wint havp, clamav, and squid.

I can manually start squid, then clamav and havp, and all works fine!

I want to start it automatically (as daemons) with system start.

In my rc.conf I have records:
Code:
squid_enable="YES"
clamav_clamd_enable="YES"
clamav_freshclam_enable="YES"
havp_enable="YES"

Squid and clamav starts normally but havp can't start =(

In /var/log/havp/havp.log there is:
Code:
=== Starting HAVP Version: 0.86
=== Mandatory locking disabled! KEEPBACK settings not used!
Change to user havp
Change to group havp
Use parent proxy: localhost 3128
Use transparent proxy mode
--- Initializing ClamAV Library Scanner
ClamAV: Using database directory: /var/db/clamav
ClamAV: Loaded 197536 signatures (engine 0.92)
ClamAV Library Scanner passed EICAR virus test (Eicar-Test-Signature)
--- Initializing Clamd Socket Scanner
Clamd: Could not connect to scanner! Scanner down?
Clamd Socket Scanner failed EICAR virus test! (Could not connect to scanner socket)

I know that clamav started after havp.

How can I change order of start?
Now I have:
squid
havp
clamav

I want:
squid
clamav
havp

Maybe anybody has another idea?

Why are you trying to use clamd? It is not running (or wrong socket location in havp.config), thus you get the error. You have already library working so there is no need to use clamd.

Hi!
Hege, when havp is using libclamv, it takes a lot shared memory. And system is suffering of huge shared memory.
In log files I could see message like this:
Quote:
Jan 25 10:00:03 mail kernel: collecting pv entries -- suggest increasing PMAP_SHPGPERPROC

Today I moved havp to use clamd and usage of shared memory decreased.
