When I try to download any .zip file from the Western Digital support site, the connection appears to timeout and HAVP gives an "Server Down, Could not read body" error page.

Now the even more strange thing is that I can download .exe (inc. self extracting zips) and .iso files from the same site (the only difference in the urls are the filenames)

If I use HAVP or Squid on their own I can download all files including the zip files. This problem only occurs when Squid is the parent proxy to HAVP.

Any ideas as to what the problem could be?

Os

Zips create an additional request to receive the header first. Does/did it work with Squid 2 or without Squid?

It works without squid as a parent proxy, i.e. with HAVP going directly to the source server.

Squid without HAVP also works.

In fact I can download zips from other sites!

I'm travelling at the moment, but I will be back late tomorrow and I will downgrade squid to version 2.6 to see if that works.

Just to let everyone know -

I downgraded squid to 2.6 STABLE 18 and the problem appears to have disappeared. So it would seem it is squid 3 issue.

Ok I'll try to have a look.. maybe Squid 3 processes Range-request differently or has a bug.

PS. I'm personally going to stick with 2.6 for now, and maybe upgrade to 2.7 when it's matured a bit.. after Squid 3 gets many more stables, perhaps we can add ICAP support to HAVP.
