Havp+squid works fine more than two months. After upgrading from HAVP 0.86 released to HAVP 0.87 released i have some message in havp log-file. LOGLEVEL set to 0

26/03/2008 16:45:54 connect() failed: Permission denied
26/03/2008 16:45:55 connect() failed: Permission denied

26/03/2008 16:46:26 connect() failed: Permission denied
26/03/2008 16:46:26 connect() failed: Permission denied

Before upgrading havp started like clamav:clamav, after upgrading it is starting like clamav:havp. Havp ignore that in config-file user and group set to "clamav".

Before upgrading i saw that message but it was two or three times.
In spite of these messages, it works pretty well.
What can i do with havp to remove this message?

Hmm..

Code:
The connect() system call will fail if:

[EACCES]           The destination address is a broadcast address and the
socket option SO_BROADCAST is not set.

Is it possible that someone requests to connect to *.*.*.255 IP?

I have no idea, never seen this error before. Only reason it "should" happen is on broadcast address. Maybe there is something funky in your networking.

You didn't mention your OS?

Quick googling reveals this:
http://www.dovecot.org/list/dovecot-cvs ... 10316.html

Are you on FreeBSD? Or do you use some packet filtering? Maybe the code needs some additional retries on this error..
