Hi!

I've got a strange problem when connecting to sites via https through havp.

Sometimes it works and sometimes I get a

HAVP
The request is unknown:
Invalid request

As an example: http://www.postbank.de works and when I click on "Online-Banking" in the top left corner, I get the error.
(yeah, I'm german^^)

Do I need to insert the parent Squid-proxy in each Firefox for the https-protocol?
Because when I do so, it always works.
But it worked a few weeks for me with havp as ssl-proxy before it became strange^^

Is there anything I can do to make it work everytime?

havp runs on debian Etch with clam 0.93.
I had 0.88pre2 and upgraded to 0.88 but nothing changed.

Please keep up the good work, havp is a fine piece of software!

Thanks in advance,
Nemiah

It's strange that it works only sometimes? You did compile with --enable-ssl-tunnel ?

But as you said, you can do it with Squid, please do that. It would be silly to use HAVP for https, since it offers no benefits. It only uses up processes for nothing.

Yes, it works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. I couldn't find a pattern.
Though it seems to be a bigger problem with windows. It worked for weeks for me while using Ubuntu.

No, I didn't use --enable-ssl-tunnel as you don't recommend it.

I will insert squid for https then.

Thank you,
Nemiah

In that case it naturally won't work at all through HAVP. ;)

Won't start guessing why it seemed to work sometimes.. maybe no-proxy settings or so.

Well, if it shouldn't work at all then the mistake could have been caused by my Firefox addon "SwitchProxy Tool".
It would actually explain why it only worked on my computer^^
Seems like the addon isn't too accurate when applying new proxy settings...

Thank you for your time,
Nemiah
