Post subject: | HAVP sandwiched to Apache2 proxy and Apache2 reverse proxy? |
Hello, I am planning to serve the users of my websites with HAVP enabled virus protection. I currently have a setup as described in the title, just without HAVP. I have the Apache2 with mod_proxy (and caches enabled) asnwering the requests on a wmware server guest, and Apache2 configured as reverse proxy on another wmware server guest in the same physical machine (with one physical NIC). This setup works very well. The OS I use is Ubuntu Gutsy/Hardy, ie Ubuntu 7.10 on one guest and Ubuntu 8.04 on the other. Now I would like to add HAVP. Can this be done without adding the Squid(s), as I seen no other need for Squid here? If the answer is yes, is there anything I should change in the configuration files because of my setup? jasso |

Hi @jasso and welcome in HAVP forum! Quote: Now I would like to add HAVP. Can this be done without adding the Squid(s), as I seen no other need for Squid here? Yes! The only thing you have to configure is, if you plan a transparent HAVP, to enable this option and make a redirection to the HAVP port (e.g. 8080). Another thing, which could be usefull for you are the options: Code: FORWARDED_IP and Code: X_FORWARDED_FOR
