Hey again,

I've created a custom signature database for clam, added it to clams antivirus db dir and checked that it works using clamscan filename.

For somereason though, havp is not detecting the file when I download it (have restarted havp). If i then manually scan the file afterwards, the signature is detected.

Any ideas? - If you want the signature file just ask :)

Thanks!

Rach :)

HAVP Log:

clamscan output:

----------- SCAN SUMMARY -----------
Known viruses: 46465

Hmmm

Have fixed this...

havp was looking in /usr/local/share/clamav for signatures

my correct dir was different to this, not sure why the former dir exists at all but have created symbolic links for the time being so that correct signatures are loaded.

If you could tell me how havp determines the location of definition files I may be able to construct a better fix.

Many thanks! :D

Rach

Do you have many clamav database directories? HAVP uses default directory from libclamav, which usually is /usr/local/share/clamav.

If you have DatabaseDirectory defined in clamd.conf, HAVP doesn't use it.. I guess next HAVP version will have configure option for the location. :)

(edit: hehe, too late reply)

Cheers,
Henrik

I had 3 locations in total, very strange :) I have installed Clam twice, once compiled and once from a binary distribution which accounts for two of the locations :) Can't explain why there was 3!

Thanks again for your help :)

Rach
