Post subject:  Problem starting up Havp with nod32 enabled

Hi everyone,

I’ve allready seen this problem or so I assume it is the same on in a couple of other threads. I would like to use the nod32 file scanner with havp. As soon as I activate it in the havp.conf and then try to start havp it just hangs with the initialization. No error, it just doesn't want to come up right. The versions I'm using are havp 0.91 and eset file security 3.0.15

Here are the last lines out of my strace while starting up havp
Code:
socket(PF_FILE, SOCK_STREAM, 0)         = 6
connect(6, {sa_family=AF_FILE, path="/sock/esets.sock"...}, 110) = 0
select(7, [6], NULL, NULL, {600, 0}

Eset daemon is running:

Code:
 5029 ?        00:00:00 esets_daemon
 5030 ?        00:00:14 esets_daemon

what could this be?

thanks alot
Chris

ps: it's all running on debian lenny 64bit

That's strange.. if I'm not mistaken, nod32 daemon should output some greeting when connected.

It's working normally otherwise right?

yes. havp starts up normal with clamav and works normally. Eset can scan, update and everything. Havp just has some kind of problem connecting with the socket.

Code:
# daemon_sock_path = "path"
# Path to UNIX socket used to communicate with main daemon (esets_daemon).
daemon_sock_path = "/sock/esets.sock"

this was commented out first but didn't have any effect after uncommenting it.
