Hi there, i got a problem with wow patcher/downloader when i enable havp in my proxy-chain (squid-havp-squid). downloader/patcher doesnt get connection via http und download-speed is very slow (50-100kb, i think it only uses torrent-seeds). when i bypass havp (only squid-squid), everything works ok, speed goes up to 500-800kb. But the main problem i got belongs to a new wow-downloader tool. i get a lot of Code: 01/09/2011 10:01:22 192.168.10.1 GET 200 http://ak.worldofwarcraft.com.edgesuite.net/wow-tools-retail/direct/wow-4.2.0.2552-enUS-tools-patch.exe 490+5367553 OK message in acces.log saying everything is ok, but client dont get any data. I have to set second squid as parent for first squid to bypass havp and i could download everything like normal with good speed, otherwise its impossible to download a new blizzard-downloader. Any idea with this issue? regards, olli Edit: Normal http-Downloads via Browser or wget are working fine. Dont know, whats the problem with the downloader. |

Maybe it's using range requests and breaks if it's not supported? Try this conf: RANGE true |

thought of it already, but it didnt help. Do you think, a whitelist could help? problem is, that WoW uses one or several content delivery networks, so i can only try to make reg expressions for the data that WoW downloader/patcher tries to download. it is possible with havp whitelist? regards olli |

You could try to add downloader to STREAMUSERAGENT, find out what the user-agent string is.. And maybe then set STREAMSCANSIZE 0 if default doesn't work. |

Revert setting cause it's used a lot (so no scanning of that mime-type). curiuos is, it's working now without this setting (perhaps blizz-server or it patched out of squid-cache). i'll be looking at this problem in the future. regards olli |
