Hi,

I need a virus scanning reverse proxy to sit between an application server (Tomcat) and the outside world. The proxy should remove any viruses uploaded through the webapplication.

Is this possible with havp?

Not currently, because clients uploaded data (POST) is not checked. I think this will be in next version. Then you would need something like Squid to do the actual reverse proxying Client->Squid->HAVP->Tomcat.

Perhaps we add a simple reverse function too.

Cheers,
Henrik

No, reverse proxy is not supported and we only scan traffic from server to browser.

Btw, does any one here know of a way to get a virus scanning reverse proxy like described above?

mod_clamav and mod_streamav only supports input (GET) filter. I want to scan POST requests TO the application.

EDIT: Just for the record, I've solved the problem using mod_security and clamav. It works like a charm. read how at http://www.modsecurity.org/documentatio ... tures.html

Thanks,
/s
