HTTP Anti-Virus Proxy

Official HAVP Support Forum
Registration disabled, I'm tired of spambots. E-mail havp@hege.li if you have questions.
HAVP project is pretty much frozen/abandoned at this time anyway.

What about icap ? Are you planning to support it?

I don't have any experience with it.. is there some reason it should be supported? I think all virus scanners can be already used directly with socket or library support.

Cheers,

You mean HAVP as ICAP server?
ICAP allows a lot more than virus detection. HAVP will provide multiple scanners in the future and I guess ICAP would make it complicated.
There are some ICAP proxies e.g. squid available which can be chained with havp. This will be the only solution in the next time.

But maybe HAVP as ICAP client could make sense.
HAVP could do the scanning and than report to the server.
This sounds more like an own project...

I think atleast I won't be looking into this, as I don't see any reason yet.. and I doubt we will get it working any faster than Squid..

This I will look into. :)
(as soon as I get it installed from the abysmally stupid distribution requirements)

Cheers,
Henrik
