I use HAVP with Arcavir. It's work fine.

Now, I use a new release of Arcavir.

Is it possible to help me so to use HAVP with new Arcavir release?

What does logs say?

The arcavir release 2008 don't Work.
In my log:

22/02/2008 17:02:34 Arcavir: Unknown response from scanner: SYNTAX ERROR
22/02/2008 17:02:34 ERROR: Arcavir Socket Scanner failed EICAR virus test! (Unknown scanner response)

I tried to change "VIR" by INFECTED in arcavirscanner.cpp.

And I have always the error

When I put nothing instead of "VIR"

HAVP start with aracvir.
In the log I have this with arcavir -> (AX)

When I go to Internet all webpages are denied because a virus is detected

I work for ArcaBit on development of ArcaVir 2008 and arcad. Our new daemon protocol has changed a bit and now it is compatible with clamav protocol, so using the old protocol will result in syntax errors. Besides, new daemon provides the client library - libarcadapi (and arcadapi.h header file). Refer to files in /usr/share/doc/arcabit/arcad-scan/ for example of using it.

You need to set: ARCAVIRVERSION 2008

Also you might need to: usermod -g havp arcabit
