when i start havp without arguments , it does bind on udp on the port that i use openvpn.
that is not only problem by bind to an ip and port that is not on the config , but seems to use some of the config file..

Now, if i start with -c /path/to/config it's start ok.

To see the default config used:

havp -s | grep conf

Does it look right? Probably you have many config files around.

no
i use just one config , and that command show my only config from where it reads , but the problem with the socket bind appear only when not using switch "-c"

the bad scenario:
1- start havp
2- start openvpn
3- netstat -npl ! wrong !! havp is bind to udp port that i use on openvpn !!!

the good scenario:
1- start openvpn
2- start havp
3- all ok

the best scenario:
use -c switch when start havp

I'm not sure what the problem is. What does OpenVPN have to do with it? HAVP does not listen on UDP. You mean TCP?

Are you trying to listen same port with HAVP as OpenVPN uses? Try another one.

you read ok : the havp it's so buggy on my system , that it grab the UDP port from openvpn, when i start to open openvpn after the havp. That thing was show by netstat , that gives me 2 hours thinking how it's possible.

after many tryies, i guess that my particular scenario it's make that fault:

i use a linux as a router with 5 ethernet , 2 are used for outgoing , and with openvpn another 3 tun devices are created.

Now i can't recreate that behavior because i recreated from scratch all the configs for evreything.
i have 2 routing tables one for every outgoing interface
I guess that mistake appear in havp when i change the default route , and i restart openvpn.
Then, the havp somehow thinks that the port and protocol used by openvpn belong to him.
It's a very uncommon case.

Maybe the bug in havp is when the default route it's changing , and some other processes try to open a socket.
When changing the route, the havp it's stuck.
